Why we love RAMIE.

Ramie is one of the strongest natural fibre fabrics available and is known to hold shape well, reduce wrinkling, is biodegradable and introduces a very subtle lustre to the visual appearance of fabric without the inclusion of any nasty synthetics. Our ramie is a sustainable 100% natural fibre fabric made from the stalks of Chinese nettle plant. Don’t be fooled though, our ramie is soft and like linen, will continue to soften with each wash.

Why we love LINEN.

Our linen is a sustainable fabric made from 100% plant-based fibres from the flax plant. It is milled by artisans and then spun, woven and washed ready to make into our special Dotti & Cub garments.

As well as being sustainable, linen is a very functional fabric that is twice as strong as cotton, dries quickly, is moisture wicking, naturally anti-bacterial and biodegradable.  It has a beautiful woven texture and because of its naturally porous structure, it keeps you cool in the heat and acts as an insulator in the cold. Linen truly is a super fabric!

Why we love COTTON.

Our cotton is sustainable fabric made from 100% plant-based fibres from the cotton plant. Cotton is comfortable to wear and easy to care for and clean. It is biodegradable, hypoallergenic, and gentle on sensitive skin types. It is a strong but breathable fabric that is suitable for both warmer and cooler climates due to the way the natural fibres trap air between the skin and the fabric.

As well as both linen and cotton being sustainable fabrics made from 100% plant-based fibres, combining these two powerhouse fabrics means you get the best of both worlds. A cotton linen blend fabric has all of the wonderful linen properties like strength, moisture wicking, natural-antibacterial and hypoallergenic whilst also being easier to care for and clean.
